Recently the Copyright Royalty Board [
CRB] established new rates, retroactive to January 2006, that will financially force most
internet radio stations off the air on May 15
th 2007! The Board denied any requests for a rehearing on it's ruling!! Thousands of
web casters and their listeners have rallied to get their voices heard!! Representative Jay
Inslee [D-WA] and Representative Don
Manzullo [R-Ill] introduced the Internet Equality Act. [HR 2060]. However it needs more
cosponsors in order for it to pass. HERE'S WHAT WE CAN DO!!! On Monday, when Congress is back. Between 9am and 4:30 pm Eastern Time, visit
http://SaveInternetRadio.org and place a call to your Representative! Have them
cosponsor HR 2060, the Internet Equality Act.
