Stanky Bluzzz Last Saturday

Well, what can I say? What a night. Surprise visits from Blues Masters-Neil Fallen/Doug Skoog and Dave Bray gave 'Steve Bartlett And the Nightcrawlers' last Saturday that wonderful 'Stanky bluzzz' flavor that I love. Wow. It was my favorite kinda night.
The 'Nightcrawler's are Martin Salinas/Guitar, with Kenny WilliamSon/Drums and Bartlett On Bass.
I've got photos and will be posting them this week so stay tuned.

Pig Candy Recipe

Here’s how the people at Roni-Sue describe Pig Candy: “Roni-Sue deep-fries the bacon for extra crunch, (though we can’t claim it’s health food), then each piece is hand-dipped in Callebaut dark or milk chocolate.” And it’s tres popular. According to the Pig Candy order page, “DUE TO THE HIGH DEMAND OF PIG CANDY, RONI-SUE IS FRYING MADLY TO KEEP UP!”

Pumpkin Spice Marshmallows Recipe

They're also rather simple to make (easy to whip together in about 20 minutes) once you’ve made them a time or two and can be made in mass. On top of all that, people are always so impressed by them; shocked and amazed that marshmallows can be made in a kitchen, not in the confines of some space age factory. Click below for recipe.

Caramelized Onion Cranberry Cream Cheese Bites Recipe

I've been really busy lately, so this post is going to be short and sweet. These Caramelized Onion-Cranberry-Cream Cheese Bites make wonderful appetizers. The great thing about these is that you can make everything ahead of time, and then just assemble right before serving.

Chocolate Chipotle Brownies Recipe

Great with morning coffee.
When you bite into these you’ll taste the chocolate on the tip of your tongue, then feel the subtle heat of the chili in the back of your throat. It’s a balance of heat and sweetness that my husband and I both enjoy, especially with a hot cup of coffee - though I doubt the 6 year old girl shown in my childhood photo would have appreciated the assertive flavors. What can I say? Tastes, like us, change over the years. Go to link below for recipe.http://www.bakingandbooks.com/2008/11/23/chocolate-chipotle-
